Good for the Price but They Can be Warm
My husband and I have had our king-size bed for a number of years along with a few different sets of sheets to go with it. I'd always wanted light colored sheets but was afraid to buy them and then have trouble keeping them clean (e.g. sweat, kids, etc.). Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and look on here to see what I could find for a decent price when I came upon these microfiber sheets. I have one other item that's the AmazonBasics brand and have been happy with it so far and figured it couldn't hurt to give another item a chance. I opted to purchase the cream color since I wanted something a bit softer in color than white and for $25, I wouldn't cry too much if these sheets didn't last as long as I would've liked. When these sheets arrived, I excitedly opened them up and threw them in the wash. In case you are wondering, yes, I get excited over things like new sheets and I couldn't wait for bedtime to come so I could sleep in them and try them out! For the price, I honestly wasn't expecting too much since they are relatively inexpensive sheets. Right out of the package, these sheets are fairly soft but after initially washing them, they became even softer. These sheets are made in China of 100% polyester so they wash and dry pretty quickly with hardly any wrinkles. It's important to note that these are microfiber sheets which is a synthetic fiber and thus, no thread count is listed. The king set includes: 1 - fitted sheet measuring 78 inches by 80 inches by 14 inches 1 - flat sheet measuring 108 inches by 102 inches 2 - king pillowcases measuring 20 inches by 40 inches After I put these sheets on our bed, I noticed that the fitted sheet doesn't fit quite as snugly as most of our sheets do but our mattress measures about 11 inches deep and these sheets can fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep. It hasn't been an issue for us and having the extra room could allow for a thicker mattress pad or a foam topper if we needed them. The sheets seem to be nicely-made and we didn't have any loose threads. I have a king-size pillow and the pillowcase fits nicely over it. My husband has a standard-size buckwheat hull pillow, which I call his sandbag, and his pillow fits in the pillowcase just fine even though there is some extra material. Once I snuggled down deep within these sheets, I sighed with bliss because they are so incredibly soft! I felt like I was laying in a bed of fluffy, cream clouds. I love how soft these sheets are and, once my mom saw them, she decided she wanted some so she also has the cream sheets for her queen-size bed. The one thing my husband and I discovered is that we both get warm in these sheets even during the summer with the air conditioner on. We also tend to get warm at night anyway during warm weather so this may not be an issue for everyone. We've used microfiber sheets when it's cooler out during the fall, spring and even winter and found them to be extremely comfortable so perhaps summer isn't the best time for us to use these sheets. Our bed is next to an outside wall and we get colder when it's cold outside so these sheets will be perfect during those seasons. Still, for the price I can't complain too much if we are able to use these sheets for most of the year. Overall, I'm pleased and fairly impressed with this purchase and consider these sheets to be a good value. I didn't expect much considering the price but these sheets are much nicer than I thought they would be! They wash up nicely, fit fairly well, and are incredibly soft. We get warm using these sheets during the summer but it shouldn't be a problem for the rest of the year for us. I'd recommend buying these sheets if you are looking to buy some new ones and don't want to spend a lot of money. I like them enough that I will consider buying another color!
