For the price, excellent performer, slow to overheat and that is a great statement about its design. Shuts down with a constant 800 watts. I think the 1100 might be only for a surge. Good for 600-700 continuous demand. Update, today Krieger contacted me and by a representative named Gill and we reviewed my instillation. I went over and rechecked connections from battery to inverter and found to my surprise that I had a piece of wire insulation that did not allow a good contact from the battery. Not bad Krieger!! you got me. I went on to test up to 1050 continuous watts, stable as a rock. I am sure that it will handle 1100 watts. Then I surged to 1260 watts for over 6 seconds before it down the inverter. What a difference a connection makes! This company called me. Talk about customer service. Thanks, change this to 5 stars.
