The locking mechanism are very tight to latch/unlatch.
This is a strong pole and reaches to the top of my 2 story house to knock down wasp nests. I've also used to ranch light bulbs 20' up with a suction cup attachment. It is sturdy, but the telescoping poles and the latches to lock in place are pretty stiff. I can do it ok, but I don't think my wife could, or at least be happy about having to do it.
