I needed to replace on old one that got too ratty, and I don't think it was memory foam, just regular foam. This product arrived rolled tightly into a cube, and I had my doubts, but it expanded nicely within a day. No offensive odor. I notice this wedge is quite heavy, which gives it good support and not much sag. For the price, lower than several other wedges on Amazon, I think this product was a winner.
