First, yes I am a real person. Shopaholic. Phone case connoisseur. No, I did not get this product free nor get paid to review it. I bought it at full price — which was less than half the cost of “name brand” cases in chain stores. And after trying this case, I’d happily pay twice what they’re asking for these babies. It is that good. PROS: The form is sturdy, yet gives enough to get the phone into/out of the case easily. Other name brand cases are too stiff & made me feel like I might break the phone just trying to get it in/out. The button covers are pliable and MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to press than the Sp*ck case I’d been using til this one arrived. This one is also easy to feel when the button is actually activated. This case - 100% of the presses are making contact. The other brand’s case/button covers were so stiff I couldn’t tell if the buttons were getting pressed or not. Sometimes when I’d press they’d work, sometimes they wouldn’t. The outer edge is “frosted” with just enough grip, but is not rough or overly sticky feeling like some silicone cases. This does not attract lint & dust like silicone. There are no sharp lines on the outer edge to hurt my delicate fingers as I hold my phone, balancing its bottom edge ot corner on the inner surface of my pinky or ring finger. The shape of the outside edge is a much better fit for my new, flat-edged PopSocket stretch/slider grip. It securely holds on, yet is easily moveable when I need to slap my phone onto my magsafe charger in either my car or at home. On my other branded case, it slipped much too easily & almost came off entirely more than once in the week I had it. The magsafe ring in this case works noticeably better than the other brand. Stronger grip. ‘Nuff said. There is a nice opening to easily access the silence slider button. The edge is raised enough that it is well protected, though. Same for the camera lenses opening. Raised edge protection, yet spaced well & unobtrusive. The back, aside from the magsafe ring, is crystal clear on my model & allows the color of my phone to show, just as I wanted. There’s just the slightest hint of grip to the outside of the backing, unlike the super-hard plastic of the other brand, which was all slickness. This case is still smooth & pleasing to feel, yet adds a bit of additional security. CONS: One tiny, ever so slightly noticeable raised edge on the seam where the outer edge meets the backing. It’s not a high-frequency touch zone for me, and my fingers will rarely grip there, so I don’t think it will be a problem for my “princess and the pea” sensory issues and delicate fingers. This is literally the best case ever in 14+ years of owning smartphones & phone cases. The only other thing I could think of to improve is maybe it’d be nice to have more colors & designs to choose from. Basically, these are so awesome, the only “downside” is that there aren’t more of them! I love this case and will probably only ever buy these cases from now on!
