This product has been an absolute life changer for me! Started taking I-Lysine 3 months ago with hopes of improving my skin after having multiple melanoma spots removed. My skin looks much healthier, tighter - even scarring from previous removals have turned from an angry red to pink. The changes have been so significant that I'm actually looking forward to my skin cancer screening next month. Remarkably, lysine's positive effects were not limited to just my skin. As a retired combat veteran, I have suffered from severe mood disorders to include PTSD, depression, and anxiety with bipolar severities. Over the years, I had been prescribed 6 different psych medications that all resulted in an increase of suicidal tendencies and discontinued taking them over a year ago. Approximately 3 weeks after starting a 500 mg daily dose of lysine, I (and others) noticed that my mood swings had stabilized. After 3 months, my mood remains stable and other issues such anger, paranoia, nightmares, panic attacks and over thinking have completely subsided. In addition, my joints feel better and the daily ringing in my ears from tinnitus happens only now and then. The changes came gradually and I have not experienced any side effects other than the need to drink more water. Because this product has been so positive for me, my best friend and roommate (also a retired combat veteran) began taking it 6 weeks ago and is also having the same positive results mentally and physically. We feel that lysine has really given us new lives. We no longer feel confined to our home and have actually started getting out and about and enjoying what the world has to offer. We have shared our results with both civilian and veteran administration medical providers with hopes it might help others with mental health issues.
