I've been needing a good water bottle for years, I've looked at Yeti, Icer, several other insulated brands, but this is by far the best brand I've found. I work construction in the hot sun all day and this bottle keeps me with cold water all day long. I've found before on other bottles like this that the plastic taste goes away easier if you leave the bottle and lid separately in the freezer overnight before cleaning the bottle with hot water and soap. I was glad to see that going from freezer to hot water for cleaning didn't shatter or crack the bottle which is a sign of good quality. The first day I only put maybe 1/3 of the bottle full of ice, and then used room temperature water, and I found that the ice had all melted by 5 o'clock. However, those were 2 mistakes by me. The next day first thing in the morning I filled it entirely up with ice, then my room temperature water (don't have a cooler) but then I threw the whole thing without the lid in the freezer for about 30-45 minutes while I was getting ready, I left my house with a bottle full of cold water and filled to the brim with ice. I ended up not finishing all the water in the bottle that day and forgot to bring it back into my house. It sat in my truck overnight, and I went to work without refilling it sadly. I had to buy a few litres of water from a gas station on my way in to work. Using cold water from the gas station I refilled the bottle and was surprised to still see easily half the bottle of ice.... at the end of the day when I got home I still had not just a fair bit of ice in the bottle, but all the water left, maybe 1/4 of the bottle was still ice cold. 2 full days without adding new ice and not being refrigerated and there was still ice inside the bottle. That's the best proof you're going to get. I'm ecstatic at my purchase and would recommend this bottle over any other to anyone who needs to keep water cold. I live in a very hot state so I don't believe I'll ever test it out with keeping liquid hot, but I only wanted it for cold so who cares. 10/10 on all fronts!
