Started using this today and am loving it. i did a test and it does repel small spills from the water dish. I got it to use with the Iris 4-panel play pen and it looks great. My Onyx 3lb Maltipoo loves it and the pen. My Daughter says he has his own little condo set up in the house. i bought two so id have one to wash and one to use. Will update review once I wash. I'm not one that throws everything in the dryer but haven't made up my mind if I will hang dry or not yet. 3/29/15 Wash Day!!! My puppy did have an accident and peed on it once. It did not soak through, it just looked wet n the under side but it was not.Washed today after one week of use. Washed in front load washer on Normal Cycle hot water with extra rinse and high spin. Washed great no worn edges or signs of tearing from was hinging. Dried in front load dryer on normal cycle for 30 min. Dried perfectly no melting, no frying, no signs of wear. Shook out and placed back in dog pen. Good as new and can not tell it was ever washed!
