We ordered the 3 inch memory foam topper for a guest bedroom in king size. When it arrived it was shipped in a good box and shrink wrapped like most memory foam toppers are. When I first unrolled the topper on our king size bed it had odd raised bumps or creases in the pad. I decided that I would just leave it out on the bed and see if it fluffed up and would take on the correct shape it should finally be in. Some of the edges were smashed down flat and appeared as though this would be a problem. It took a good 8+ hours for the topper to "fluff" up and form a natural shape to fit our king size bed. In the end I was very happy with the shape and how it filled the entire bed. There was no smell to the topper either like some toppers have that eventually dissipates. We have a standard king size bed, not a California king. I only mention this shape issue so that others will not think that the topper won't eventually fill out properly. It is thick at 3 inches and definitely a resilient foam topper. We have foam toppers on all our beds in our home and I cannot speak anything but volumes of praises for these toppers. A 3 inch topper on our master bedroom bed has lasted for years. I expect this one to do the same especially since it is on a guest bed. One thing I must note is you have to look at the density of the topper, i.e., 3 inch 4 pounds, etc. It makes a difference as to the firmness of the topper. I would order this topper again without hesitation.
