I was with my girlfriend one evening as she was doing her hair, when I heard her announce "I need a new hair iron." I decided then and there to buy her one, proving I actually listen when she talks. I looked at a lot of different products and read a lot of reviews. I was left with the impression that women are generally picky about their flat irons and that I could easily go wrong with my pick. I chose this item because it had the best overall reviews at the price point I was comfortable with. My girlfriend loves it. According to her, CHI makes the best hair irons. And this one, in particular, heats up a lot faster and gets a lot hotter than her previous iron. She's able to do her hair faster than normal and I get a bunch of good-boyfriend points. Win win!
