Not bad with a few additions
Ok, at first I didn't like this drink very much, but I spent money on it so...I was determined to use it. It does have a very artificial taste to it when used by itself, but since I am using sugar-free everything, I have come to expect that. I think the instructions tell you to use too much, it is sickly sweet at the rate the package tells you to use it. I have figured out a way to make a hot cocoa drink with this that is better (to me) than the light hot cocoa packets you can buy at the grocery store. I use about 2 tsps of the drinking chocolate (half of what it says to use), 1 tsp of unsweet cocoa powder, and about 12-14 oz hot water in my big coffee cup. For an extra (occasional) treat, I'll add a shot of fat free "reddi-whip" canned whipped cream to the top. Is it comparable to real hot chocolate? No, absolutely not. But is it a low calorie, relatively low carb, chocolate flavored substitute that satisfies a chocolate craving? Yes. With the reddi-whip, it's around 15 calories, 7 carbs, and very filling.
