Likely, More Mouse Than You Will Ever Need...
The Razer Mamba TE Chroma is the braided-wire version of the wireless Mamba Chroma mouse that sits atop Razer's mouse line-up. Performance-wise, the Mamba TE is likely way more mouse than anyone will ever need. Why? Because of the ridiculous 16,000 DPI resolution on its laser sensor, all adjustable in 1 DPI increments if you need to. Add to that an insane 1,000 Hz Ultrapolling time for a 1ms response time. Yes, this mouse is faster than anyone ever will be when playing any game...
Fortunately, all this performance is wrapped up in the most comfortable gaming design I've yet experienced in any mouse. Good for both claw grip or palm grip, the button layout is instantly familiar and classic. I love that the scroll wheel tilts and have not had any issues with it being overly sensitive during games. Fortunately, the button functions can all easily be configured and saved in multiple user and game profiles using Razer's excellent Synapse software. Synapse also can control and configure the excellent Chroma RGB lighting of the Mamba. Bright, vivid and dramatic, Razer's Chroma RGB lighting is the best around, with RGB-lit strips running down each side of the mouse along with the Razer logo on the mouse-body. Chroma technology definitely adds premium looks to the Mamba's premium performance.
Having used Logitech's legendary MX518 and Microsoft's original Sidewinder gaming mice, I can honestly say that the Mamba's performance and quality are outstanding. The only thing I can ding it for really is it's lack of adjustable weight (something the Sidewinder had in the form of a weight kit)...the Mamba TE might be too light for some. I'd like replaceable glide pads as well, just like the Sidewinder.
But, I digress. Razer really hit it out of the park with the Mamba TE Chroma. Not only do you get unrivaled performance out of that laser sensor, you get it wrapped up in a comfortable package with a familiar button layout and the best RGB lighting features found in any mouse. Sure, it's pricey, but I would bet that for many, the Mamba will be well worth it...
