I bought this set for my 15 yr old daughter as a requested birthday gift. She was so excited to use it. The packaging was so pretty and well done. I loved the compactness of the included lamp and felt, all around, this was a complete set. My daughter wanted me to try out the product on myself as she did her own. A few things I noticed: 1• Don’t use too much gel on the form. It will build up underneath and be incredibly uncomfortable. 2• I followed the directions exactly at first but quickly realized that the slip solution was causing the form to separate from my nail before curing, causing lifting and bubbling. I resolved this by using 70% alcohol to remove the oil residue from the slip solution before placing the gel filled form on my nail. I cured it right away with no further issue. 3• Taper the gel at the bottom near where the cuticle will meet the gel. This will insure your nail to be more comfortable and also last much longer. 4• My daughter followed the directions of a YouTuber instead of the included instructions, unfortunately for her, this did not turn out well. My suggestion- FOLLOW the included instructions... except for the use of the slip solution, which I included above. 5• I desperately wish this set was tailored more for a mature adult. This set has butterflies galore... no seriously, I’ve been finding these blasted butterflies EVERYWHERE!!! I’m thankful they have a set for the younger generation but I’d appreciate if they had one for... I dunno, a woman in her 40’s who doesn’t fancy neon butterflies on her fingernails.
