This purchase makes my second vacuum sealer, and there is a world of difference between the two. Both are simular small models, but the old one filled me with anxiety when I would use it because of several issues. The Nutrichef is what a vaccuum sealer should be. My number one releaf came when I opened it. The Nutrichef is easy to open with the release buttons on each side,whereas the old one requiring me to push down hard on each side, (usually several hard pushes were required to get it to unlock). It does take a bit of pressure to close, about equal to my old one. My old one was very difficult to get it to create the vacuum. It would take many repositionings to create the vaccuum. On my first attempt with the Nutrichef, I saw the bag collapse around my food as the air was expelled - and then it sealed. Then on each of the next 23 packages of food I made, I had no issues! The size of the Nutrichef is compact it fits in my cabinet without making new wonder "is it worth the lost space? " I have not used the extras that came with it. The cork for wine bottles looks really good, and I am sure it will do the job. I don't own a vacuum container, so I can't comment on that. I am very happy I ordered the PYLE NUTRICHEF VACUUM SEALER. I can't imagine you will not be pleased. It is a great value, especially for the price.
