I am new to bread making at home, so I gave this a try. It works OK for No-Knead bread dough. Yes it seems a bit flimsy and you have to be cautious changing the blade. But for amateurs like me, it works fine. Regarding safe storage: My wife suggested a cheap rectangular plastic case, commonly used for carrying a toothbrush on trips. Works perfectly if you label and store it appropriately. See attached photo.
