I wrapped my fireplace with some marble and rustic wood adhesive paper that I also purchased from Amazon for just a few bucks each. From a distance, my fireplace looks pretty real and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments for it. The log and fire is a firm paper panel that is clipped to the main cardboard piece. I painted mine black and added a real log wrapped with a string light. This makes it less cheesy and adds a little charm. Tip – I used small binder clips to keep it all together. From the picture, they’re the little pink clips at the front by the fire log because pink was all I had when I was putting it together. The plastic clips it comes with will do the job but I wanted something stronger because I will be putting some heavy stockings on this baby. I will store this fully assembled after the holidays because it is small in size and I don’t want to crinkle up the fireplace. If you’re ok with a cardboard looking fireplace, it will be easy to roll up the cardboard and pack it away for a few more uses.
