Still deciding on whether to go buy the Mackie CR4, CR3 or this. Buy this. I owned the Mackie CR4 a month ago and i returned them for this. What the Mackie lacked was low end bass. It had the mids and highs locked, but bass was absent These speakers pack a punch. I left the bass on default and turned treble on 90 degrees to the right , then turn the volume up and its lovely. The majority of music and other content out there relies on the presence of bass, so when i couldn't feel or hear the bass, its like empty and lacking the soul if you know what i mean. If you prefer more treble or more bass, you can do so. You have options, which is unheard of for speakers at this low price range. NOW LET ME GET STARTED ON THE LOOKS OF THESE SPEAKERS. That wood on the speakers is awesome. The speakers are precisely 9 and nine-tenths inces tall and 6 inches wide (from the front left to right). These speakers are a nice size ,but sturdy and beefy too. Overall, Great speakers for studio use or entertainment applications. Also, make sure to use isolation pads to prevent or contain the vibrations the bass causes.
