This book is a game changer
I read a lot. I think probably more than most people do willingly. I have visited more world's than I can count. And I revere many. Sweet Valley. No one writes teenage soap opera like Francine Pascal. Alicante by way of New York because the shadowhunters that live in Cassandra Clare mean a lot to me too. Pop culture through a brilliant lens, because Chuck Klosterman sees things in a way that make me feel seen. Real life through the eyes of Augusten Burroughs, because I too, have suffered through terrible trauma and addictions, but still know how to laugh at myself. To Panem, because I love that Suzanne Collins knew what came before Katniss, and that Snow wasn't always evil. To Forks, because I love that Stephanie Myer gave us the Cullens, and then told us the story again through their eyes. And now, this universe, of the Hawthornes and Avery, something that we all could only ever dream of, she made so real. How tempting the puzzles not just constructed by Tobias Hawthorne, but of love and family. This book is like the Da Vinci code meets Gossip Girl meets Romeo & Juliet and still that isn't enough to satisfy what I am trying to say. It's fantastic, break neck pace makes it hard to put down. I read it in less than 48 hours because I needed to devour it. Some people crave food, I crave stories. I am so glad that I stumbled on to this book (thank you Kindle for being so intuitive) I cannot wait to see where else this story goes, because as fulfilling as it is to get to that last page, it's always a little sad. Knowing that I will see these characters again is a boon, one that hope comes sooner than later. Read this book, there is no way you won't come away from it spellbound.
