First of all, I’m a whole adult and I do not have a child. I use this for myself and am writing this from an adult perspective. I love this damn thing. I wanted something leak proof that way I can hold it in my lap when I’m on the couch or in bed without concern. I have mental illnesses which cause me to not pay attention to small things a lot of the times so I spill cups a lot and this was a perfect solution to my problem. It is also a comfort thing. It is super easy to clean too! I would NOT suggest putting this in the dishwasher since it is a softer thinner plastic. No, not even the top shelf. I put mine in the top shelf and the bottom bent in a little :( which means it is NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash only.
