IT WORKS!!
This is an excellent piece of equipment. It is made of quality materials with excellent construction. I would expect it to last a lifetime, most certainly mine, I'm 75. The table comes with quite a few warnings so, make sure that you are aware of those before you purchase or consult your doctor before buying. I had an inversion bed many years ago and used it for an extended period of time until it fell apart from being kept outdoors. Even though I have several of the conditions that are in the "warnings" I had no qualms about getting this unit because of my previous usage. I had a laminectomy about 30 years ago and I have high blood pressure and ocular hypertension that are medically treated.
Since my back surgery some 30 years ago my back has never been 100% and before I purchased the Teeters bed I was having sciatica that just wouldn't go away. With just only two very short uses of the bed, basically just to get the bed adjusted/tuned in to my height, weight etc, my sciatica was 90% gone. Since then I've used the bed three times per day for maybe two minutes each time. Not only is my sciatica completely gone but I honestly think that I have much less restlessness at night and thus sleep better.
So why only four stars? Well, in my opinion, the instructions for assembly and for usage are terrible. First of all the instructions are for several models. Step one may or may not show the model that you have. The same is true for the following steps. Another example of poorly done instructions like these is when one has to read step three in order to get step two done properly. Anytime that instructions say something to the effect that if the unit looks like this, then you have assembled it wrong, then the instructions are lacking. Even though there is very little assembly required for this item and it is really pretty simple, it only took about 20-25 minutes to assemble, I found the instructions lacking and had to read through them several times in order to compare the parts of the various models and understand why mine would be put together incorrectly or properly.
Use of the accessories was also poorly explained. There are six pressure nodes, two each of three different sizes. They are easy enough to attach but where in the heck should they go? At pressure points? I'm not a kinesiologist or acupuncturist. I don't know where to put those darn uncomfortable knobs!
The DVD was helpful in some regards and clarified a few points that were lacking in the instructions.
In summary, the equipment is excellent. It's well built and easy to use and it certainly helped me and did so quickly. It's now part of my daily exercise routine. I wish that I had bought it a long time ago. That thing with the instructions, well, maybe that's just me.
