I will admit first impression was bad. Headset at first will have low volume and having it on max will still sound low and friends in your party will sound faint. To get around this simply go to the home screen and from the home screen move to the left and bring up the guide. From there highlight the settings icon and you will notice there is now headset options that will allow you to increase the volume for the headset thus allowing you to hear anybody on your headset. Make sure the headset is connected to the controller otherwise when you highlight the settings without the headset connected it will only have the normal: all settings, turn off, and restart options available.
