This flannel blanket is much softer than I expected it to be. I'm very picky with how my blankets feel, and this one does not disappoint. The blanket is as soft as many of my other flannel blankets I have. The blanket is thin. It reminds me of a blanket to use in the spring and fall where it's slightly warmer. I bought the Full/Queen size blanket. It fits on my full sized bed well. There is several inches hanging over the edge on both sides. I like curling up in this blanket when I'm reading or using it as a cover or extra blanket on the bed at night. In the winter, for me, the blanket doesn't keep in enough heat to use as the only blanket on my bed. The light blue color is similar to what is pictured. The light color makes my dog's fur less noticeable on the blanket when they shed. The blanket is easy to wash. I use fabric softener with it to keep the blanket soft. I've had it on tumble dry low with no problems. The thread on the edges is smooth. I've had blankets in the past where the thread is too thick or noticeable on the blanket, and I'd feel the thread rubbing on my skin when I was trying to sleep. This blanket didn't have that problem.
