I built a Catio (cat enclosure) using 10 packages of these. That's 170 pieces. I had enough connectors, and I didn't break a single one. I only used zip-ties to reinforce the most strained connections (maybe 10%). The Catio is 6x3x5 cubes in size, plus some additional tunnels. There are extensive shelves inside, all requiring vertical supports. The roof is solid because there is a single horizontal rib to support it (you can see it in the photo). The whole structure becomes more stable with every added angle (long straight walls or ceilings are unstable, but if you add cross members or bends, it's very strong). All in all, I'm happy with the results. Limitations: The connectors do not permit certain configurations. You can join two planes (4 pieces in one plane but only 2 into a perpendicular plane), in other words you cannot go into all 6 directions from a connector (you are limited to 5 directions). In cases where this is necessary, zip-ties provide reasonable rigidity in combination with the connectors.
