Long term Le Creuset owner here and very satisfied with this product. When we decided it was time to own a braiser of course we shopped Le Creuset but while checking reviews I came across the Lodge. I own quite a few Lodge traditional cast iron pots and pans so thought why not try this (at close to 1/4 the price). I read other reviews that said to carefully check the quality as the QC may not be as good, so I did. Ours was perfect, no imperfections at all, and I prefer the finish of the Lodge. One difference between this and a Le Creuset is the handle requires a pot holder right out of the oven but really, who grabs any handle out of the oven without a mitt or pot holder. Need a braiser? Best value on the market. I immediately ordered a Lodge Dutch Oven for our daughter after being so pleased with this!
