We live in the mountains in a home with wood siding, and have had a longstanding problem with woodpeckers, as have all our neighbors with wood siding. We hung the reflective tape every 4 feet or so as a test on the outside of our bedroom wall, and presto, no more woodpeckers waking us up at dawn, no more woodpeckers knocking throughout the day. They have moved on (maybe next door?) and been replaced by a variety of lovely songbirds. So far, just this side of a miracle.
