Basic, easy, almost ready to launch - need engines/motors
Plastic parts and a prepainted tube make this rocket a quick turnaround from package to launch, just be sure to have glue, engines and 4 AA batteries which are not included.
This is a good starter set to check out the hobby, but you should expect to replace most everything in the set if you stick with the hobby as the launch pad is about as lightweight as you can get.
You can expect to pay $2-$3 per launch for the one time use rocket engines you will need for this rocket. If you are giving this as a gift, include a pack of A8-3 so the rocket doesn't end up drifting away and getting lost.
The engines you can use are: A8-3(First Flight), B4-4, B6-4, B6-6, C6-5, C6-7
The letter indicates the total power produced by the engine, each letter doubles the power.
The first number indicates the average thrust in Newtons
The last number indicates the delay between engine shutdown and parachute ejection
Expect about 200 feet high for this model on an A8-3, about 500-700ft on the B4-4, B6-4, B6-6, and about 800-1000ft for the C6-5, C6-7.
