Efficacy and usage feedback please read!
Let’s keep it simple. This is a Quaternary Ammonia based disinfectant, google or check the cdc website on this type is disinfectant and you’ll will better understand. It uses the exact same active chemical, quaternary ammonia solution to kill (disinfect) viruses and bacteria as Lysol. Check the Lysol multi-purpose cleaner active ingredient listing, and you will see. As for the efficacy of the product after 24 hours let’s clear this up. The label specifically states that if the solution is soiled, soiled!! i.e if you’ve poured this in a gallon bucket and you’re mopping and continue to dip the mop in the bucket of solution over and over again thereby building up soil in the solution or said differently using the same solution in the bucket to clean other surfaces and you notice large particles of whatever (dirty, chicken guys, blood clots etc...) from the things you are cleaning, then you should replace the solution and or not exceed using that soiled solution more than 24 hours. If you mix this in a spray bottle where the solution will not be soiled, so no issue with the effectiveness of the solution immediately. For emphasis, if you pour this stuff in a bucket and use the bucket with a wash cloth or sponge and clean surfaces and continue to use that same bucket of water and cleaner with your soiled rag, you’re going to want to discard that solution when it is soiled or not to exceed 24 hours. I hope this clarifies the label. I hope this helps, stock up before people figure out this is basically Lysol multi-purpose cleaner. Oh, if you’re concerned about the 10 minutes of sitting time to disinfect, Lysol multi-purpose cleaner has the same, if you compare labels. Remember this stuff was designed to not just be utilized in restaurants and kitchens but also processing plants where animals are gutted, and blood is present on hard surfaces which need disinfecting. Lastly, I encourage all who do not know the difference between cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting please visit the CDC website and read. Lastly, if you’re putting this in a chemically resistant spray bottle that is 32 oz then you need to add 2 oz of this stuff. This is equivalent proportion for the 6 to 8 oz per gallon of water required to create a solution with enough ppm to disinfect hard surfaces, killing viruses and bacteria referenced on the label. I hope this helps!! Cheers! Update on Efficacy Further to the questions on efficacy, when using this solution in a spray bottle, you will want to use that solution in full no later than a week. Why, factors such as sunlight exposure, temperature, the sterility of the water and bottle can all began to degrade the solution, same occurs with diluted bleach solutions. For context, with chemical solutions such as these hospitals, gym or restaurants will replace the diluted solution in 24 hours regardless of usage to ensure maximum efficacy in the event the solution has degraded for any of the aforementioned reasons, including soiling. I utilize this for spraying groceries, cleaning hard non-porous surfaces in the house (kitchen, bathrooms, doorknobs etc.…), workout equipment, commensurate surfaces in my cars and equipment when I go to the gym (letting it remain wet on surface for 10 minutes prior to use). To that end, I utilize a 32 oz bottle in about 1 – 3 days.
