THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING. I have struggled with cystic acne for the last 5 years. I eat clean, drink Matcha every morning, run daily, tone/moisturize from a vegan company, use Bare Minerals foundation, and drink more water than I probably should but my skin got so bad last year that it was painful to touch near my cheek bones. It even made my eyes water at night by simply laying my face down. With the right vitamin regimen (vitamin D, vitamin E, biotin, turmeric, and apple cider vinegar tabs - order all from Swanson), african black soap (Brand: Shea Moisture) after my morning run, and controlling my acid intake (which was by far the hardest thing I ever did as a coffee addict - so long quad espresso and black cold brew!) my skin began slowly clearing but I was left with terrible scars. I've tried lemon, turmeric, baking soda, dead sea mud, drying powder, apple cider vinegar, special soaps, blue light zappers, various creams...basically everything on the store shelves. I really tried anything to clear up the remaining unevenness and breakouts to no avail. I tried a chemical peel a few months ago which helped but reacted poorly with retinol which showed me better long term results.
ENTER AZTEC HEALING CLAY! I have only been on this product for three nights and my scars are evening out unlike anything before. Amazing. Even my mother is shocked with photos as she's has a front row seat to my acne struggle and one of the few people to see my skin natural through this time. I mix 2 tablespoons powder with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar. I used a plastic spoon to mix, a glass bowl, and a plastic blush brush ($1 e.l.f at Walmart) to apply it. I leave it on my face for 1 hour each night (if you want to drink anything use a straw because your face will literally not move!) Taking it off was a bit difficult the first night but I tried a silicone face scrubber with warm water and it took it right off in less than two minutes! Best product I've ever tried! Use a paper towel near your drain to catch any clumps though - I've heard it will clog your pipes after a while.
If your like me you have probably read all of these reviews inside and out. This was seriously my last attempt before trying fermented cod liver oil (sounds terribly gross and is fairly expensive). There are some amazing ones and of course plenty of nightmare scenarios. I was really on the fence about trying the clay out of fear that it would take any progress I've made and worsen it - I decided to purchase this product because frankly, I was willing to risk poor skin again for the possibility of better results. It doesn't interfere with my retinol cream either. Hope my review has helped! **Will update**
