Here is MY proof: I park my vehicle (without access to a garage) in an area prone to rodents eating just about everything that could be left outdoors usually. I had to leave my vehicle parked on one side of an abandoned work truck (due to infestation=destroyed wiring/Hanta Virus threat) and a sewer retention pond: both known to be some of the worst places in the immediate area for chewing rodents, for a week. I sprayed Rodent Defense Vehicle Protection on my engine, wiring harnesses, inside of the wheel wells, and generally around the perimeter of the car and left it there. As I was leaving in another vehicle I saw ground squirrels darting back and forth as if they were looking to make a new "home" of my car; and had even heard scurrying and digging inside of the abandoned work truck that I was parked next to while I was spraying the Rodent Defense. I was concerned that I might not have a wiring harness when I returned a week later. Instead, what I came back to was my vehicle without so much as a dropping or blade of dried (nesting) grass under my hood, on top of my tires/I-beam, etc. The critters left my vehicle alone despite where it was parked for that time I was gone. Oh, and the stuff smells kind of good compared to something with dangerous chemicals in it.
