I'm a big time coffee and tea drinker, so my teeth were stained a little yellow but nothing too bad. I decided to give these a try not expecting results, but was pleasantly surprised at their efficacy after 5 applications. The price is pretty steep but you do get 20 strips, so if you don't need them all you can share or stash them for later use. A few observations from my experience using these strips: it helps to dry your teeth with a paper towel before applying. When applying, make sure you cover the very base of the tooth so the whole tooth is whitened, and press the strip firmly to the tooth, using your fingernail to press in between teeth. These will likely make you salivate a lot; it's ok to swallow though it's gross and bleach-y tasting. I found subsequent applications did not make me salivate as much. The formula will kind of foam up under the strip and feel like it's going to come loose but it won't. When I remove these I always have some white splotches on my teeth - I panicked at first, but the splotches disappeared overnight (a good idea to do these before bed instead of right before an interview, say). I read this is due to the tooth drying out, but as it rehydrates the splotches will dissipate. I used these every other day and my teeth only felt a little sensitive after one of the applications. My teeth ended up lighening about 2-3 shades after 5 applications, and I'm happy with that. These strips are kind of a pain in the neck, but for getting results after wearing them 5 times for 30 minutes apiece, I'm willing to suffer.
