When I first moved to my new home, the acres of untamed land between my house and the golf course was an incentive to live here. However, I quickly realized that the wild animals that live there like to visit me… most notably bobcats… and especially my swimming pool, where they deposit mounds of feces into the water daily. After several days of this literally “crappy” event occurring, I ordered a video camera for the backyard, but alas I could never catch them in time. Then I ordered a fake crocodile head, only to find they crapped right on his head. Then I tried plastic “nails” in clear, vinyl sheets that were strewn around the edges of the pool. Again, they crapped on them. Then I tried blinking red lights on beady little creatures stuck into potted plants that resembled predators at night. Ah hah! For two weeks I thought I had solved the problem, until they started coming in broad daylight and yes, crapping in my pool every day. Once I got past the despondent stage, I began researching for a solution… again. This time I found the Orbit 62100 Yard Enforcer Motion-Activated Sprinkler with Day & Night Detection Modes. BINGO! Yes, it works and has for 3 months now. I’m set. I have now cancelled all of my pooh-related bobcat therapy sessions. I’m happy. See video of why the bobcats are not happy.
