If deciding between the lightest and the medium color, go with the lightest.
If you're deciding between the lightest color and olive, get the lightest one. I'm East Asian with light skin but dark nipples. I saw a review that said to go with the darker shade to match your nipple shade. My nipples are darker than olive, but my skin is light and I didn't want to wear something too in contrast with my skin.
I got the olive (medium) color and wore it for 5 months. What I found inconvenient with the olive (medium) shade is that for any kind of thin white t-shirt, they show through the shirt as visible circles, and it was an inconvenience always having to wear a tank top underneath light tops. It sort of betrays the purpose of going bra- free, if you have to wrap yourself in layers instead (and layering in summer is torture).
I saw that reviews with the lightest color Nippies had no issues like this. So after my first pair wore out, I ordered my second pair in the lightest color. And sure enough, the Nippies did not show through white shirts anymore. The layer of Nippies combined with the shirt surprisingly prevents your dark nipples from showing through the t-shirt.
TLDR: if you have light skin & dark nipples, and are a white shirt enthusiast, buy the lightest Nippies. Your nippies & headlights won't show through your shirts.
