This is a good shredder for home and home-office use. I have purchased many shredders over the years and Aurora shredders have worked well and at a reasonable price. Micro-cut is a must, otherwise it kind of defeats having a shredder. But many micro-cut shredders are either way too low-volume (overheats quickly) or too large (for commercial use). This is a nice size for placing it under table or desk. It is a medium-volume use. You could go through several hundred pages, but then it has to cool-down for several minutes. So it is not for people that shred tons of paper all at once. It is nice that it has a narrow basket. Most shredders have more square-ish pull-out basket, whereas this one has narrow one which makes it easy to dump the content into a small trash bag without spilling. I dump into a grocery paper bag so the whole thing can be thrown into paper recycling dumpster. If you shred more than a ream of paper at a time, then get a larger one at a local office supplier. Otherwise this is a nice unit. BTW, mine stopped working after about 10 months. The motor would stop after a few seconds of turning on. The customer service was excellent and they shipped a new one without the hassle of sending the old one back.
