Ok, which one of you knew about this and why didn't you tell me???
So, I'm watching youtubes about how to make butter in your food processor (apparently, it's a thing) and this woman pulls out this little crock doodad and mentions that butter will stay fresh and soft on your countertop if you plug the butter into the bell part of the crock doodad. AND the basic style of the crock doodad has been around since the 1600's.
So, now my home made butter is plugged into my 17th century tech crock doodad. The butter kept in the fridge is rock solid and the butter in the crock is as smooth as . . . butter.
The Sweese comes in a lot of pretty colors. I stuck with white because it goes with my white + bamboo kitchen stuff. I did go back and buy a second Sweese for unsalted butter.
The only thing you need to know about product this is that pulling the bell straight up will suck the butter out of the cup. Tip the cup to one side to break the water seal, then you will not be mocked by a spouse who thinks it is acceptable to mock someone after eating their homemade butter on homemade bread covered in homemade jam. I threatened to butter his #*&$ and call him a biscuit - there's probably a youtube about how to do that as well. Biscuits, not #*&$.
