This is a great pitcher for cold brew coffee; it comes with a filter and silicon seals, and while the instructions don't make sense at some parts (the filter does not 'have a gap between itself and the spout', it slips in whether you want it to or not, so I had to rest it on the glass rim), it's very easy to set up and use, and washing it isn't too bad. However, the filter is not *that* fine, so you'll encounter some sediment in your coffee even when using coarse grinds. With Stone Street's grounds, this was barely noticeable, but with Gevalia's there was quite a bit of sediment. However, there is an easy solution to this: just use cold brew filter bags instead of the built-in filter. I myself use the No-Mess 120 filter pack you can find on amazon from HOMYHEE, but any will really do the job. That keeps sediment out of the coffee and, as a bonus, it's far easier to clean. The built-in filter works fine though and if you have any sediment you can always pour the coffee into another container and then pass it through a coffee filter back in. Overall, it's very well-constructed and I really like that I can separate the stainless steel housing from the carafe (if you can't get it out, try giving it a bit of a twist). It was what I made my first ever cold brew in a few weeks back and I love it.
