Joking aside, I like this shirt because the flannel is genuinely soft and the price was right (and it was available in a tall size, which I need for a shirt to fit me properly). When lounging around the house in the cooler months I like to wear an unbuttoned long-sleeve shirt over a t-shirt and this has become my go-to shirt for that. However... It's a thin flannel and no warmer than most of my other long sleeve button up shirts. It's just softer than most of them. I feel this is relevant in part because they use the word "camp" in the name, like you'll be enjoying a roaring campfire in the winter wearing this in lieu of a coat thanks to its extra warmth. Pretty sure you won't do that. With that said, I also doubt you'll find a thicker flannel shirt of this softness for this price. Guess I'll stick with this, this winter, and shop for a thicker one next year. It's a good choice for early autumn when it's merely too cool to run around in short sleeves. I seriously thought about only giving it three stars since it doesn't really deliver on what a flannel shirt ought to in the warmth department. Isn't that what you buy a flannel shirt for? Then I considered that I'm once again wearing it, albeit with the heat turned up higher than I'd like, and...Fine! Have your four stars! But it ain't no camp shirt.
