After having tried many of the other dual window fans available here on Amazon and elsewhere over the past five years or so (at least 5 or 6 different make & models, many of which are still currently available), the Genesis has to this point proven my favorite. I live in a small NYC apartment and use the fan almost exclusively in the exhaust mode when I smoke cigarettes. Initially, I started this practice to placate my wife who hates smoking, but I found that I really prefer the cleaner air as well. Simply put, the Genesis has slightly larger blades than its' competitors, along with a more powerful motor (the medium setting on the Genesis is equivalent to the high setting by many other brands). Plus, it is no louder to operate than any other fan I've tried. I can't speak to the climate control system; however, if you're looking for a powerful, efficient window fan with a good exhaust feature, look no further!
