Day 6: We are locked down due to the current state of things. We are locked in the house and it snowing outside and cold simply sucks and it along is enough to break my will. I have been on solatary confinement with my family and we are quickly running low on board games, books, action figures, dolls, stuffed animals, etc and the rug burns and tiny cuts from thier adorable finger talons are starting to hurt. There are frequent battles for couch and controller supremacy and I don't know who taught them to fight dirty but they are starting to break me mentially and phyically. They are so cute and extremely fun but we all know what happened to Icarus. I am taking a stand for all Dadkind and I will no longer allow skynet to steal my childrens attention span through soul sucking screens of all sorts. (Except when I need sanity breaks, I'm only human) I am currenlty trying to put my kids through a screen detox and this is essentially "screen methadone" for my kids, as they now have to look at a thing I have called "reality" but they can do it through a screen. This is a good way to help them reacclimate to this thing I call "outside". The downside, I had no idea there are so many animals around, I"m terrified to fall asleep on my deck.
