People are way too picky and impatient. I got this on a tongue-in-cheek whim, and my cats FREAKED OUT—in a good way. I have four, ages 2 to 17 (!), and at first they were very wary of the fish, but they decided quickly that it was their new favorite thing. NOTE: I have some really fresh organic catnip that I got on Etsy. I used that in and on the fish rather than the very fine, cheap, probably useless powder that comes with the fish. I would suggest this for the more hesitant cats. The fish is rather loud when it’s flapping, and that will cause some initial sniffing, suspicion, and adjusting for many cats. Give it time. As soon as my crew decided it wasn’t after them, it was Game On. 😂 The fish works exactly as described and in the videos...my cats have used it both on and off the little “fishing pole” with hilarious success. I think most people are in too big of a hurry with this. They expect fireworks from their cat, right out of the box, like the cat’ll automatically know what to do with it. Just use some *fresh* catnip on it, toss it on the floor and leave it for a bit...let them engage with it themselves, *then* try the pole. Bet that’ll work!
