it's huge!
Simple to put together if you have help. As it was my 16 year old helped me. I held the parts in place while while he put the pins in. This would have been a nightmare to put together on my own as I lack some hand strength. Holding the axle in place against the pressure of the springs, while gripping the pliers and pushing the pins into place would have been out of my ability. In the past I have overcome this kind of problem by holding things in place with duct tape and twine! It works but is a pain to tape up, assemble, cut all the tape/string off, and then clean the tape adhesive off. I read a couple of reviews that said the wheels fell off and the bottom plates bent during use. I can think of two ways the wheels might fall off. One - if you've bent or opened the pins to make them easier to put in place, they'll simply fall back out. They're tight since the tension is needed to keep them in. Two - if it has been overloaded the pins wear through and break. As for the bottom plates bending, that could only be from overloading. In the cart I recv'd the bottom plates are sturdy and the wires that make the bottom of the cart cross over the plates. The load would have to be able to bend the wires and the plates. PROS - --The support wires are hooked into the frame rather than soldered. --The handle isn't exactly luxurious but it's a heck of a lot easier on your hand than the bare metal. --The wheels look like plastic in the pic but are actually a sort of hard plastic hub with a thick hard rubbery piece around it. It rolls nicely so far. --The liner isn't going to stand up to a real downpour but will keep road dirt from splashing all over my shopping bags. It is made from the stuff cheap reusable grocery bags are made of. --It has a plastic clip to keep it folded. --The cart handle is long enough to move it comfortably compared to some other carts I've had. CONS - --The instructions in the package were almost too simplified. But since I've put a lot of things together over the years we got it figured out. The instructions shown on this page are better but if you're new to putting things together it would be a good idea to check out eHow. --This cart has spent its first days with us in the garage because of the chemical odor. --The wires are more widely spaced than I realized from the pictures. The bottom wires have the same spacing as the front and sides. Without the liner your shopping can shift and sag out between the wires.
