We have had this waffle maker for a couple weeks and have used it twice. It was purchased to replace a 15 year old Cuisinart model that suddenly stopped working. The reviews for this model were very good and the ability to cook two waffles at the same time looked like a great feature to feed everyone at the same time. The waffle maker has arrows to tell you which direction to turn it after pouring the batter which is very helpful. We like crispy waffles, so we cook them at 5.5 and once we are full, we cook the rest at 4.5 and freeze them for reheating in the toaster. When the waffle is ready, the light for that waffle turns green and it beeps. The waffles come out crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. We use a family recipe for the batter, so I can not comment on how it works with pre-mixed options like Bisquick. Pros: 1 - The double cooking action lets you turn out waffles fest enough for the whole family. 2 - The waffle holes are deep enough to hold syrup, fruit, whipped cream, etc. 3 - The included measuring cup make it simple to pour consistent waffles 4 - Cooking is even and quick 5 - Waffles lift right out with no sticking Cons: 1- None so far Waffle recipe - 2 eggs (separated) 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 cups milk 2 cups flower 4 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoons salt 2 tablespoons sugar 1 - Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set Aside 2 - Beat egg yolks. Add oil and milk. 3 - Sift dry ingredients & beat into wet ingredients 4 - Fold in egg whites 5 - Cook and enjoy! UPDATE - October 7, 2015 - The waffle maker is still working great. No complaints. UPDATE - February 2017 - Still works great. Would absolutely buy again. Added recipe per request in the comments.
