I have both Hoover and Bissell carpet cleaners and never found one that I really loved. All have done the job (sort of) but each has had its own shortcomings. This Automatic Carpet Cleaner from Hoover is certainly a step up. It does a better job than any of the other cleaners I've had, and it is very easy to use. But it has a few shortcomings. First, it doesn't have a button to spray extra detergent if needed. The cord is a bit short so you have to plug and unplug it several times. The hose is good, but it would be better if it was 2 feet longer. But other than that, it is a big step forward in home carpet cleaning.
